Marigold Corner
Where you’ll find art, stories, & curious little things.

Welcome to my studio! An artist's studio is an extension of themselves.

I'll add more art related content as I get going but for now...

My Family

Have to start with them. I have been given an incredible family and I am so thankful for them!

Married over 30 years to a perfectly imperfect guy.

Three children now adults. I miss their toddler personas, but they are amazing adults.

One grandchild- he's a genius of course.

Two more on the way - Twins!

My youngest used to play in the kitchen cupboard. She'd empty out the pots and pans and crawl inside. When she was going in the cupboard she'd tell me she was going to work. A pretty good guess for a two year old about what it meant for Daddy to say goodbye and go out to the door to go to work.

A Few of my Favorite Things

Cats

I love animals. I grew up with dogs. But we've become a cat family. There's nothing like a sleepy kitten snuggled up under your chin. Cats are more affectionate than people realize. Each personality is unique. This is Lily. She loved laps. What a great incentive for the kids to sit down and read- a snuggle reading buddy. We said goodbye to Lily awhile ago, but I still miss her.

Wide Open Space

I grew up in Fargo, North Dakota. The tallest building in the city at the time was about 14 stories. There were spots from which the view seemed unending. I would have liked to see the prairie, unbroken, uninterrupted stretching on for miles.

I'm not a big fan of crowds, traffic, being boxed in by buildings. I don't know what that means for the future as where we live in Utah gets more and more crowded.
